How to communicate with my partner
π RelationshipsEvery relationship is a mirror β what shows up there is often something asking for attention in you, too.
The people we struggle with most often have something to teach us, even when (especially when) we'd rather they didn\'t. This doesn\'t mean tolerating mistreatment β it means noticing patterns.
The foundation of healthy relationships is almost always boundaries spoken clearly, kindly, and early. Most relational pain isn\'t from too much honesty β it\'s from too little, said too late, in the wrong way.
Steps you can take
Most people guess. Try saying it directly. \"I need ___\" is one of the most loving things you can offer.
It can be small. \"I can't talk about that today\" is a boundary. Practice them on small things first.
For one conversation today, just absorb. Don't prepare your reply while they speak.
Conflicts heal in the apology, not the avoidance. Even \"That came out wrong\" is a start.
Energy is finite. Notice who fills you up vs drains you, and adjust accordingly.
"I deserve connection that feels like home."
